I have finally finished an Annie! I have her listed on Ebay! click here to check her out! I have been making a few things, but mostly gifts. Between Birthsday, Mother's Day, and Graduation I have been so busy!!!!! I almost have another Annie done, but it will have to wait cause of Father's Day. We are going on a 3 day weekend trip to my parents house in Pymatuning. I won't be back until Sunday. So my doll will have to wait to be finished until then. Hopefully I can list her Monday or Tuesday. We will be visiting Amish country and a great fabric store that I love. (And a giant car show for my hubby). The picture above is of my oldest, Samantha. I just finished this Quilt pillow Annie this morning. I have listed her on Ebay for 7 days. If you wish to view her auctions click here. I machine pieced her 3 inch pillow and then hand quilted it. It is stuffed with crushed walnut shells. It gives it a nice weight. I've also sewn a little ruffle to the bottom of her skirt. I did get a chance to stuff and stain 2 more dolls today. Tomorrow I hope to have time to make some dresses. My kids have to go to school tomorrow to make up for some snow days. My husband is supposed to be off tomorrow, but they asked him to come in anyhow. I still have to go shopping for a TV. We are surviving without it right now by using the TV I had in the kitchen. I just finished this Annie up yesterday. If you wish to view her on Ebay, click here. It is super warm here already. It is supposed to be 60 or something. And it's sunny! It feels very strange. No more snow on the ground. I will actually be able to open the sliding glass door later. My TV in the living room has broken. Everything is just green. It was one of those larger models, not the flat ones. Everyone seems very excited that it broke. I'm not. Now I have to spend money on a new one and a new entertainment center. Those wide screen TVs will not fit in my old one. I am bummed. Plus you have to shop around and find the best one for the money. Not my favorite thing to do, but it must be done. If I let my hubby do it, I will wind up with some huge vulgar thing. Well, I'm going to go clean a little and do some laundry. Have a great day everyone, Jenny

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day! I hope everyone gets something they want today. I have 2 kids home from school with fevers and coughs. I stayed up late for the Grammy awards last night then couldn't sleep listening to coughing. I never sleep when one of the kids are sick. Hopefully the little gifts I got them will make them feel better. I stuffed two dolls this weekend. Plan to work on them today. No particular theme to them, just everyday dollies. Well, I'm off. Her cross stitch "Snow" tag is also stained. I'm so sorry I haven't blogged for awhile. Christmas was busy and there was also illness. I almost always get sick at Christmas. I also made lots of handmade gifts for family, friends, and teachers this year, which kept me extremely busy and up late most nights. I do miss doll making though. Finally finished an Annie! This one is a Halloween Annie. I have made several quilts and even a Halloween punchneedle project. Now I'm working on an angel costume for my daughter. I have never made a costume before. My older kids always liked to go to the Halloween store and pick something out. Emma is the only one that thinks it would be cool if Mommy made it. I finished the Steeler quilt pictured in the post below. It was raffled off at a charity auction for a friend of the family that was injured in a motorcycle accident. We like our Steeler's stuff around here. I also had a Birthday, so I'll be needing to change my profile. 1st Day of School and New Quilt!

Today was the first day of school for my kids. Emma got to ride to school on a bus for the 1st time. I drove her to school last year. I thought she would be scared, but of course I was wrong. She was very excited. Thank goodness. It's so much easier to send them to school when they are not crying. All my kids were easy that way. The older kids(now both in high school) did not want their pictures taking. Believe me, I understand. I was an only child who had my picture taken way too much. Thank God we didn't have digital cameras back then!! I have also finished the quilt top for the Steeler's Quilt that I am making that will be raffled off at a Benefit next Sunday. I will post more info on that in a later post. I will start quilting this today. Now that there aren't any kids at home during the day, I should have no problem finishing this fast! Just finished this new Annie! I'll be listing her on Ebay tonight. I used a red cotton fabric with cream anchors on it for her dress. I cross stitched the boat on linen for her tag and backed it with the anchor fabric. I stuffed Preserved Fragrant Sweet Annie in her little anchor pocket. She measures in at 15 inches tall. I was lucky enough to finish a doll this week! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Been too busy with the kids and quilting for myself. I have finished 2 large quilts and 2 small quilts. I just haven't taken any pictures yet. I will be putting this Annie on Ebay at some point, just haven't decided when. Even as I took these pictures, Emma was begging to go outside. It's like 95 out. Forget it. My son and his friends are running around the neighborhood. They must be crazy. I told everyone to go swimming, but nobody feels like it. Crazy! Happy 7th Birthday Emma!

Yes, today is my Emma's Birthday! These pictures are from her Kindergarten graduation last week. She did very good. She was so nervous about saying her Bible verse into the microphone all by herself, but she did it perfectly. We will be having a party later in the week. Today she has requested spaghetti for dinner and Dairy Queen ice cream for dessert. Those requests should not be a problem. Pretty simple! The weather today is kinda crazy, sunny one minute, rainy and stormy the next. We'd like to get outside and play since it was kinda rainy yesterday too. I'm also working on a new doll and new quilt. Quilts and Annie's of course! I finally took the time to take pictures of my charm quilt today. It was so fun to make! I love simple patchwork. I also took a picture of the Annie's that are on Ebay right now. Their auctions will end tonight. I made this quilt using Moda's Butterfly Garden line. It's so much fun working with charms. A lot less cutting. I love to free motion quilt. I thought the stars were a cute idea. I've used them before on a Red, White, and Blue quilt that I made some years ago. I made her a special punch needle purse that I have stuffed with fragrant preserved Sweet Annie. I have also made her a custom cross stitch tag with navy thread on Irish linen. Both her purse and tag have been backed with the navy star fabric that I used to make her dress. I have finished my charm quilt and will take pictures this week. I want to take the pictures outside and it was still a little wet this morning. We had a lovely day though. Just beautiful. My daughter played outside and I soaked up some sun. My hubby and son hung up a ceiling fan in my son's room. It didn't go as planned, but it did eventually work out. A very nice Hampton Bay fan. We do have air, but it does circulate much nicer with a ceiling fan, I think. Well, I'm off to bed. I hope everyone has a nice Sunday evening. Jenny

I finished up this Annie today! I love how she turned out. I used a hand dyed embroidery thread on the cross stitch tag and willow purse. It looks so much more detailed in person. Fabric shopping!

I was lucky enough to get away this weekend. My parents have a house near Pymatuning Lake. I got to stop at a few quilt stores. Most of the fabric I purchased have stars on it. Homespuns too! I have already started a new doll. Today I am making a dollie dress and making the binding for my charm quilt. I love hand sewing the binding on a quilt. Very relaxing. My son is home sick and keeping me company. He just has a nasty cold. Still eating like a horse! My littlest has only 8 days left of school. You know what that means! Teacher gift! I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm listing this Spring Annie tonight on Ebay. I just finished her yesterday. On her tag, I've have stitched the word, "Bloom". Her bodice, pantaloons, and small pocket are all made from a red homespun fabric. Her skirt and hairbow are made from a yellow floral Thimbleberries cotton fabric. It is also my 100th post! Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day! I already gave my kids their candy and gifts. Just a few little things. My sweetheart is working today. The kids are finally going back to school tomorrow. They will still have a two hour delay, but they are still going. Thank goodness. I need to clean. All of us and their friends trapped in the house over the last week has left quite a mess. I just can't seem to tidy up with them all under foot. Nearly impossible. This is a Sunflower Annie I made as a special order for a customer. She was kind enough to send me this picture of her. I definitely think she picked the right fabric. I kept sending her pictures of fabric that I had in my stash and she picked her favorite. This doll looks great on her shelf. Fits right in. Well, I just thought I would share this pic. Me and the teenager are gonna watch, "The Hangover" tonight. My husband wanted to but he fell asleep around 8pm. Wild man! My other teenager is out playing midnight madness laser tag with a friend. So Much Snow!

Like almost everyone else, we've had a lot of snow!! My kids have not gone to school at all this week. So I have been home with all 3 kids all week. Good news is that it has stopped snowing and the roads are clear. I went out yesterday and I'm driving my daughter to work tonight. My husband works for the local phone company, so he'll be working overtime for a while. There are a lot of phone lines down. Many people have been without power for days. We didn't get mail for several days, but that wasn't a big deal for us. I didn't even bother to make any dolls, because I didn't think I could get to the post office to ship them. But I am working on, of all things, a Spring Annie! Hopefully I can finish her by this weekend. The kids have been keeping me pretty busy so I haven't really had much time for crafting. Just trying to entertain them can take up a lot of time. Well, my daughter is sitting here waiting to facebook. She is so into farmville this week. See all of you later! Jen

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year! I know I have been slacking in my posting and doll making, but Christmas has kept me extremely busy. Now I am sick. Same as last Christmas. Too run down, I guess. Most of us here are sick. I am starting to feel slightly better. We had a wonderful Christmas. I hope everyone did as well. I haven't been on the computer much. My husband is home on vacation and my kids are obviously off school as well. Hard to get anything done! I am working on a present for someone and hopefully when I am done with that, I will be able to resume my doll making. I miss it so much! I have so many ideas! I was able to finish my quilted tree skirt. I've been wanting to make that for years! We are just planning on a low-key New Year's. Some cocktails and lots of appetizers. Fun food! Just finished this quilt for my wall. I've always wanted to make this pattern. I'm also working on a quilt to use as a tree skirt. I'm so sorry that I haven't blogged in awhile. I have been getting emails from people that wish I would make some Christmas dolls. Well, that is what I am working on today. I'm almost done with a Candy Cane Annie now. I finally completed an Annie! She is a Fall Pumpkin Annie! 17 inches tall and coffee-cinnamon stained. She is listed on ebay for $31.98. I have quilted her little 3 inch pumpkin pillow. Her pumpkin stitchery tag was hand stitched by me then coffee-cinnamon stained. I made her dress using Moda fabrics I purchased at my local quilt store. I am almost done with my witch Annie. Just a few last minute touches. Tomorrow my hubby has to work so me and the kids are going to the mall. My little one starts Kindergarten on Tuesday and she is in need of some new Sketchers(those are over priced shoes). She has a lot of clothes, but I always get her something new to wear for the first few days at least. There are so many sales tomorrow. Lots of coupons in the Sunday paper. Happy Birthday To Me!

My hubby, John, got this cake for me. My favorite is red devil's food so he made sure he ordered it a few days in advance. He also got me beautiful glasses that have etched pineapples on them. I love them! I got a pineapple banner for my front door and an iron pumpkin decoration that will hold a candle. He sez something else was not ready so I'll get it on Wednesday or Thursday. They treat me pretty good here. We still have no idea what we'll be doing yet today. John has to take care of his dad who's recovering from a little surgery and can't drive yet. But after that we'll probably do something. So far the weather is nice, but it has been getting chilly at night. I'm working on a little witch Annie and also quilting a Halloween quilt that I started last Halloween and never finished. I hope everyone has a great Sunday! What I have been working on!

This is what I have been working on! It's a project I started awhile ago and have been wanting to finish. Well, now it's done. 2 of my 3 kids have gone back to school today. The little one starts Kindergarten next week at a private school. I took the little one to get her hair cut yesterday. She had hair all the way down to her butt. It is now above her shoulders. She loves it. She kept pressuring about getting her hair cut and she was so good. I'll share pictures later. I would share pictures of my older kids going to school today, but they were not in the mood. Teenagers!!!!!!! I hope to have some new dolls completed next week. I have posted this new Annie on Ebay tonight! She will end next Thursday. She was fun to do. I have not had much of a chance to work on too many dolls. Busy with the kids and all. We had a horrible storm the last two nights and have been without power most of both days and nights. Our basement along with many of our neighbors basements have been flooded. I've never seen so much rain fall at once. Our whole neighborhood was a bunch of rivers. We don't usually have floods since we don't live by the river, it was just the amount of rainfall. Most of Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas are the same. Just a mess! We are supposed to get more rain tomorrow night also. I hope they're wrong about that. This Watermelon Annie has just been listed on Ebay. She is on for 7 days. Her little pillow was made by me. It is a punchneedle design that I drew on weavers cloth. Not much going on around here. I'm having Emma's family Birthday Party tomorrow. I went today and got a cake at Walmart and finished her Birthday present shopping. It's so much fun to buy stuff for 6 year olds. I got a lot of outdoor stuff. She likes craft stuff, so I got a lot of paints and giant coloring books. Well, I'm off to bed so I can get up early and decorate. Have a great evening everyone!

Today is Emma's Birthday! She is 6 years old today! This is a recent picture of her at her show at school. She was so terrified in front of all those people that she didn't sing a note. But she did look cute! Our plan today is to go see the movie, "Up". Then she gets to pick where she wants to eat. Tuesday we will have a family party with presents and cake and all that. Today she pretty much gets to do whatever she wants. Also, I did finish my Watermelon doll and take pictures. Hopefully I'll get to post them this weekend at some point. Well, I better get going if we want to be back in time for the Penguins game tonight. Have a great Saturday everyone!

This is a Patriotic Annie that I just finished. She will be on Ebay tonight starting at 10pm Eastern time. She is 18 inches tall and has a Patriotic Patchwork skirt. Her pin is a wooden star that I purchased at a craft show. Her face is all hand stitched on with embroidery floss. She looks so much better in person. Two more days of school left! I'm almost done with a Watermelon Annie. I have made a very special pillow for her. I don't know when I'll get her on Ebay. The end of this week or beginning of next week. I'll let you know. I have to get some shopping done. My little Emma is turning 6 on Saturday. We promised her a trip to the movies and the restaurant of her choice. She of course is picking Chinese food. New Annie on Ebay!

I am putting this Annie up for auction tonight on Ebay. 10pm Eastern time. She is 18 inches tall. She is wearing a black and cream checkered fabric. I have sewn a saltbox house border to her skirt. Her wooden pin has a cream Saltbox House painted on it. I purchased this pin at a craft show. Her hair is a very curly Raggedy Red color. I have not had a Doll on Ebay since April. I have another doll ready to put on tomorrow. I'm also working on a Watermelon themed Annie. She should be done by the end of the week as well. Not much going on here. Just 4 more days of school. Lots of finals, though. It's so hard getting them to study now, they are just so sick of it. Well, I'm off. See ya!

Whatcha Working On Wednesday

Well, this is what I'm working on today. She doesn't have any arms, legs or hair but hopefully she will have these items later this evening. I've never shown an unfinished doll before. It feels kinda weird. But I'm trying to keep up with my blogging. My older kids went to Kennywood Park yesterday for their school picnic. It was rainy and cold, but they didn't seem to care. I did not go. My 5 year old doesn't like Kennywood. Too loud and she doesn't ride anything. Kennywood is a local amusement park near Pittsburgh. I don't care how many of these places I go too, I just don't like them. Screaming kids and scary rides. Forget it. I can get screaming kids at home, thanks! All of the kids were off today, but they go back tomorrow. Just 7 days left! Every year I always ask the same question, "What am I going to do with them?". But it always seems to work out. They sleep late, hang out with their friends in the afternoon, swim, and then we stay up late watching movies. Me and my oldest(Samantha-16) want to see a lot of movies this summer. Well, hopefully I'll get to work on this Saltbox Annie tonight! I hope you have a great Wednesday!!!!

Just wanted to wish all of you a Happy Memorial Day! I know I haven't posted in awhile, but I will be posting this week. I have two dolls in the works and should have one finished within a few days. We're not doing much here today because we had our picnic yesterday. The weather is beautiful so we'll probably just hang out and grill. My hubby is working on the pool and my son is having a friend over. The doll above is a doll I sold awhile ago. I've always liked this one! I thought she would be appropriate to show off today! New Tulip Easter Spring Annie

This Primitive Raggedy Ann is going on Ebay tonight at 10pm Eastern Time. Her auction will end on Wednesday, but I also have a Buy It Now on her if anyone wants her sooner. She is 18 inches tall. I have coffee stained and baked her and her clothes for that aged look. Her cross stitch apron was handmade by me. I have cross stitched for many, many years. It is something I have always loved doing and just decided when I saw this pattern, that I needed to include it with one of my dolls. This pattern is a freebie from Primitive Bettys. I also wanted to wish my hubby, John a Happy Birthday! He is 41 years old today. I took him to Red Lobster for lunch when all the kids were in school. He wants a new Miter Saw, so I'll take him tomorrow to get one, since I don't know the first thing about buying one of those. I also got him an Oreo ice cream cake. He really liked that! My son's Birthday is tomorrow. He will be 13 years old. His name is also John but we have always called him J.D. I'll post a picture of him tomorrow. Bunny Pillow Annie

This little Annie is on Ebay now. Her auction will end on Tuesday. She is 18 inches tall. Her clothes, body, and pillow have all been coffee stained. Her hair is a Chestnut Brown color. I have hand painted the bunny on her metal rimmed tag and covered it in clear German Glitter Glass. I hope you all like her. I hope to get a few more Easter themed dolls done before time runs out. On another note, I'm so excited that me and my hubby get to go out tomorrow. We never ever go out without children! My mother offered to hang out with them. Two of them don't really need babysitting, but my 5 year old obviously does. We're going to a Japanese Steakhouse and then to our local Moose for drinks. We may even stay out past 10! That would be wild for us! My hubby was dosing in front of the TV tonight at 9pm! Pretty sad, huh? We're going out with my cousin and her husband. He finished our bathroom redo the other day, and we really want him to know how much we appreciate it. He's the best!!!! Well, I'm off to bed. Nighty Nighty everyone!!!!!
